These terms apply to everyone who uses Lebanon Local, the free business directory run by Kevin Aboujaoude. By using the site, or by adding a business to it, you accept them. Questions go to hello@lebanonlocal.com.
What Lebanon Local is
A directory where businesses in Lebanon can publish a page for free, and where anyone can find them by name, category and area. We are not a party to anything you arrange with a business you find here, and we do not check every detail a business publishes.
Adding a business
Only the business itself, or someone it has authorised, may add or manage its page. When you add a business, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 and allowed to act for the business;
- the phone number is yours or the business's, and you can receive a code on it;
- what you publish is true, and you will keep it up to date;
- you own the photos and logo you upload, or have permission to use them;
- the business is lawful, and the page does not mislead anyone.
Free
A listing on Lebanon Local is free. If we ever offer paid extras, they will be optional, the basic page will stay free, and we will tell existing owners before anything changes.
Permission to show your page
You keep all rights in your content. By publishing it, you allow us to display it on Lebanon Local, and to use your business name, logo, photos and description to present the directory, for example in a post that features new businesses, or in search engines and maps. This permission ends when you remove your page, except for posts already published.
What is not allowed
- Pages for a business you do not represent, or fake businesses.
- Collecting phone numbers or other data from the site in bulk, by script or by hand.
- Spam, abuse, or misleading content, including through the contact form.
- Anything illegal in Lebanon, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Trying to get around the site's protections or overload it.
Our role
We may review, edit for format, hide or remove a page or message that breaks these terms, or that someone credibly reports as wrong or unlawful. When we edit a business page on the owner's behalf, it is recorded. We may also suspend an account that is misused.
We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we provide it as it is. We are not responsible for what businesses publish, for their goods or services, or for losses caused by the site being unavailable, as far as Lebanese law allows.
Reporting a problem
If a page is wrong, uses your photos without permission, or pretends to be your business, write to hello@lebanonlocal.com with the page link. We will look into it and act quickly.
Removing your page
You can stop at any time. Write to hello@lebanonlocal.com from the phone number or email address linked to the page, and we will remove it.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. When a change matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell business owners before it applies. These terms are governed by Lebanese law, and the courts of Beirut have jurisdiction.
