Lebanon Local uses the cookies it needs to work, plus Google Analytics to count visits. There are no advertising cookies and nothing that follows you to other websites. You can switch analytics off at the bottom of this page.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and searches are useful: how many visits, which categories and towns, which devices. It does not tell us who you are, advertising features are switched off, and Google shortens your device address before storing anything. Visitors from the EU, UK and Switzerland are not counted with cookies unless they switch analytics on. Anyone can switch it off below, at any time.
The cookies we set
- Sign-in (sb-...-auth-token): keeps a business owner signed in to their dashboard.
- Unfinished listing (ll_draft): remembers a listing you have started so you can come back to it. Kept for 30 days.
- Contact protection (ll_sid): a random identifier, set on your first visit, that lets real visitors reveal a phone number while stopping automated collection. It says nothing about who you are. Kept for up to 180 days.
- Language (NEXT_LOCALE): remembers whether you chose English, Arabic or French.
- Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): Google Analytics counts visits and pages anonymously so we can see what people look for. Kept up to 2 years. Not set if you switch analytics off, and in the EU, UK and Switzerland only if you switch it on.
- Your analytics choice (ll_analytics, stored in your browser): remembers whether you switched analytics on or off.
Maps
When a page shows a map, your browser loads the map images directly from OpenStreetMap or OpenFreeMap. Like any website your browser contacts, they receive your device address. Their own privacy policies apply to that.
Turning cookies off
You can block cookies in your browser settings. Browsing and search will still work. Signing in, finishing a listing, and revealing phone numbers will not.
